Abstract

This course will help novices discover the instructional opportunities Second Life brings to the communication classroom. Additionally, participants will have a chance to learn to use Second Life in a safe, supportive environment that will have them up and flying in no time. By the end of the course, participants will have opened a free account, created avatars, accessed Second Life instructional resources, and developed a class assignment or activity integrating Second Life technology.
